I am sorry I am getting this published a bit late. I am part of a delightful group of friends who all celebrate Thanksgiving together. We have fun and share a lot of laughter. This year my friend Marlene read the following piece which was printed in a newsletter from one of the properties she manages. I think it is lovely. I hope that your Thanksgiving included all these joys:
Be thankful for the clothes that fit a little too snug,
Because it means you have enough to eat.
Be thankful for the mess you clean up after a party,
Because it means you have been surrounded by friends.
Be thankful for the taxes you pay,
Because it means that you’re employed.
Be thankful for household chores,
Because it means you have a home.
Be thankful for your heating bill,
Because it means you are warm.
Be thankful for the far away parking spot,
Because it means you can walk.
Be thankful for the early morning alarm clock,
Because it means you are alive!
